“I have watched Tanner play to a crowd divided between staunch folk traditionalists and singer-songwriter fans, and win over both crowds by end of the set. I’m constantly drawn in by the honesty, humor, impressive musicianship, and disarmingly unique songwriting that runs through the core of a Tanner Bingaman performance.” - Peter Winter Lee, Director of SFMS
— Susquehanna Folk Music Society
“If you don't like Tanner's music, you're probably a bad person.” - Jeremy U.

Tanner Bingaman's Pretty Big Garden is a recording project and live-performance outfit built around the distinct songwriting and arrangements found throughout Tanner's solo performances. The recordings, the first of which are set for release in the Spring of 2024, range from raw field recordings to polished pop gems and pull from a wealth of influences spanning folk-punk to ambient to Indian classical, featuring a wild range of tonalities and instrumentation. The Pretty Big Garden band features a rotating cast of seasoned musicians on stage and on record including talents such as Lauren Kerstetter (vocals), Tyrus Watson (percussion/production), Allan Combs II (guitar), Eric Avey (bass), Joseph McAnulty (fiddle), Jason Mescia (saxophone), and Andy Krull (pedal steel).
